Diwali 2009

Updating this blog almost after a year.... This whole year did not get time to make any new craft... but anyways as every year this year also I have prepared a new lantern for diwali....

Evening had put some rangoli....

We did Laxmi Puja in the evening and then burned some fire crackers.... Had a very nice time the whole day.....

Diwali

I used to make Diwali lanterns at home since long time.... This time I thought I will not be able to make it with the kind of daily schedule I m having... Anyways but thought of this simple design and made it for this diwali too.... A easy and simple Diwali lantern.... My daughter was very happy to see it... for all this is very new....



Also painted these diyaas.... and had nice rangoli too..... :)

Gift box

This is also for Priyanka... a gift box made from origami paper, beads and glitter glue... with a cross stich keychain and a rakhi for her son.... going to miss u a lot...

Cross stich keychains

These cross stich keychains I made one for my husband (I love You) & the other for my dear friend Priyanka (best frd).... Priyanka is leaving from here in next few months and I am going to miss her a lot... so just that she remembers me wanted to give her something that is not too hard for her to carry and she can keep it to herself everytime... hope she likes it...dear don forget me...

Rakhi

Long time now around 5 years havent celebrated Rakhi with my younger brother... missing him a lot.. I used to make Rakhi that time...I used to tie a Rakhi to my Dad also, which his sister i.e my aunts sent for him... but after marriage couldnt be there during Rakhi... yesterday decided to make rakhi this time and send him the pics atleast... So this post is for my dear brother... Happy Raksha Bandhan dear bro... I have used the foam sheet paper as the base and decorated with some jardosi pipes, kundans and artificial flowers... used the embroidery thread for tying the Rakhi... also sending this post for the Rakhi event HOSTED BY VANI OF MY CREATIONS & to the Festive Food Event hosted by Priti & Purva
